这首歌里是写eminem和dr dre的， 自从dr dre的儿子死后 dr dre陷入了低潮，这首歌里eminem表达了对dr dre的感激之情 也希望dr dre能重新振作。

这首歌的歌名是一语双关，而且歌词里面也充满了双关的词，Dr为doctor的缩写，有医生和博士的意思，I need a doctor既指Em需要一位医生来拯救他的生命，也指他包括歌迷需要Dr.Dre（中文有翻译为得瑞博士的）回归，他们想念他的音乐回归. Dr. Dre原名b.
